I have a biofeedback hobby and have done experiments with HRV. R-R intervals per pulse are quite useful. 5s reporting intervals are too long. Of course I use a EKG Polar Monitor although the literature seems to think a quality PPG or even an advanced radar-based system ought to perform well enough.
Yes, many states in the U.S. have recording laws that prohibit only one party giving consent to record. Aka: I give consent but the other party may not in which case it could be illegal.
It's entirely different. One is fingerprinting ambient audio against a corpus of known signatures to identify music, another is basically silently monitoring and summarizing every conversation it hears for later review.
I don't feel like my privacy is being invaded by a date's phone telling them what song was playing at the restaurant, but I would be disturbed if their phone produced a summary of our conversation, especially if any vulnerable topics came up.
I feel like I'd also be a little weirded out to find my date referencing the summary or transcript later, maybe that's just me. Like if I said something personal and they whipped out a notebook and wrote it down real fast, that's unnerving.

Naming it like that would subjectively tie them to the release schedule of the main Iphone line, while I imagine such a niche device will have a much slower schedule between new versions. If that is the case, they would want to continue selling this device alongside the Iphone 19 (and maybe 20, or even 21) without the name implying it is an old model.

Many people regard Elon as a hero or villain. I regard him as a tragedy: A great entrepreneur who wrecked his sanity due to drugs, genetics, and/or overwork.
If you read his ex-wife's account of their history together, and also the drama of what happened at PayPal etc... he was always kinda .. off.. and full of shit.

It does sound like losing his first child at 10 weeks really messed him up. It definitely would do that to anybody.
He seems like a pretty miserable guy though. Tons of pressure, no real friends, utterly and very visibly failed doge, almost universally despised completely of his own doing.

The thing is, it's difficult to tell what his opinions actually are when he's so committed to trolling and being crude. Even if you sussed them all out and agreed with them, he wouldn't be someone you'd want to emulate, just on the basis that he has a hard time articulating anything consistently. If it's the crudeness that you love, then I guess the opinions themselves take a back seat. But at that point you're just cheering for an agent of chaos, rather than having a consistent set of beliefs of your own.
That's.... convenient. No need to interrogate the stated reasons why someone you admire is not universally and uncritically beloved. I'll just ignore the reasons they themselves repeatedly give and instead assume they actually hate how correct he is about everything. Despite the things he was famously wrong about like COVID cases in 2020 going to 0 in a matter of weeks.
If you have to dig that far, you're not doing very well.
Being truth-seeking means you're willing to be wrong more times than your opponents, which do statements that say nothing instead. He takes an engineering approach to all problems, and yes that sometimes means painful iteration, but at least he has the _chance_ of arriving at truth and right solutions. We owe people that take that brunt this whole world.
It's funny because I think the original Streisand 'effect' was done in good faith. She just didn't want people taking photos of her private home. It's since been used to justify all manner of silencing actions on the part of others
