I've used QuickTime for that, which has the expected menu items.

yeah it's like one shortcut and a trim bar in QuickTime so that's the right tool for the job. iMovie isn't much harder but is a palaver with its whole pre-rendering thing just to export what should be a trivial edit.

The Photos app (on Mac/iOS) has the same trim interface as QT too.

As long as we keep going back-and-forth and buying stuff, trying to figure it out, the economy will be in good shape.

Perhaps what you're getting at is that being a good writer is not all it takes to make a good [art/story/work...], but I'm not unconvinced that reading is the key for the writing part.

This is one of the better written things I have read online in a long time. The quality of the prose almost makes the subject irrelevant.

He’s a great writer. I subscribe to his podcast which is just him reading his essay/blog post (in one take!) every time he publishes. I don’t think any of them have been uninteresting to me.

I think taste is developed from a combination of sensual attunement (clarity of perception and focus) and experience (exposure to relevant, high quality 'stuff'), but the catalyst is joy, or at least some kind of pleasure.
