sell another phone with "more than iPhone" and claim is better because "more X" right ?

They just want to prevent their own slop being fed back into their AIs.

I think this would be a good guard on websites to use it as another content protection layer.

rest & vest if he makes it to IPO

I wonder what's his net worth - probably 100M+?

didn't FB grant someone else $1B over 4 years or something for some AI lead role? Wouldn't be surprised if this guy is getting similar offers, which could explode even further with the stratospheric valuations of top AI companies.

I have to imagine that Anthropic is giving him an equity grant worth $1B or more in their upcoming IPO. And having him will increase their market cap more than that, if for no other reason than that people trust him as a judge of who is winning the AI race. So it's already worth it even before he does any work.

He’s a founder of OpenAI —- likely a billionaire if he held on to his share

It's still quite interesting to me how a founder of a nonprofit can become a billionaire by having shares in it.

Because they later founded a for-profit to raise the capital required in the AI talent and compute race.

why the stats of every AI on every release looks around the same?

Are the tests getting harder and harder so the older AIs look worst and the new ones look like they are "almost there" ?

Yes, once benchmarks get saturated they get replaced by harder ones. You don’t see GSM8K, MMLU, or HellaSwag anymore because they’re essentially solved. It takes constant work to make benchmarks hard enough to show meaningful model performance differences but easy enough to score higher than the noise threshold.

but you don't want the go to send your documents to someone in Nigeria

Ok, I think I now got where all the AI money was coming from.

incoming GPL4

it't not lost until you stop looking for it :D

It used an existing implementation, in theory this was mostly a porting task.

GPL-wise, I don't know how much is inspiration vs "based on" would this be, it'd be interesting to compare.

This looks like my Company peers, as long as there is any existing implementation they are pretty confident they can deliver, poor suckers that do the "no one has done it before" first pass don't get any recognition.

"hidden", checks API: https://developer.apple.com/documentation/coremotion/cmdevic...

and there is Mac Catalyst (iOS on Mac) and Mac support.

what am I missing ? that this uses a raw stream ?
