That's what distinguishes super yachts from mere regular-sized yachts. The wide base of the hull increases stability on the water to the point that donkey husbandry becomes practical.
It's like your own villa that can sit in any party place you like. Ibiza, French Riviera, Crete, Barcelona.
And when you get bored with Europe, you pay someone to sail it to Caribbean and can fly there to party again.
And if you're poor and only have a few million dollar yaht next to your by the river apartment, then you can at least have a party on the yacht when it's parked, cos you don't want to get caught drunk & sailing.
Not that I ever thought about what it would be like to have a yacht. But once broke onto one and me and my 2 friends had a before party on it. We didn't damage anything or litter. We just didn't have any place to stay, because the last bus to the city arrived at 19:30 and clubs didn't open until 21 and it was cold.
It's actually not really that bad. If you have to split your job likev you said, then you have to do it when she's using Windows too.
Linux has made a lot of progress since 2010.
If low tech ppl in family get phones, I want them to be apple, less work for me (not an Apple user). If they get a PC, I want them to use Ubuntu. Less work for me.
And if there's some work, I'd rather ssh into their PC and fix it using a shell with bash, then get annoyed with Windows and it's quirks.
Never worked professionally in programming and I was told that home projects is like child's play.
Especially the humility it requires - remember being mad when my younger brother joined my Factorio game and changed smelters setup. To an actually better one - one thing when people correct your technical solutions, double so bad when they are actually right.
Out of context, but to address "AI will replace engineers".
Recently discussed something about economy/investing with a friend while at work at a slaughterhouse. I really didn't want him to get scammed buying crypto.
So, used ChatGPT to find some sources in Somali, a 3 videos with short description why it's worth watching. Intro into investing, intro about cryptocurrencies and about buying them. Had the text shortened down to 3 pretty short paragraphs, not more than twice this post.
He's a smart guy, but only went to primary Qur'an school. Doesn't read or such, mostly consumes internet in form of video/media. He couldn't read those 3 paragraphs, it was too long. Or rather, it wasn't just 3 paragraphs, it was a lot to read.
Maybe we're already dividing into murlocs and the surface dwellers?
Thinking that there's a major continental war about to begin is exactly what Russia wants people to think and what they push through their propaganda machine. It's also good for some governments, because then nobody questions military spending. Poland just bought 96 Apache assault helicopters for 10B USD. It takes just 1M USD in drones to take them down, just to show how absurd show of loyalty to US that deal was.
There's issues with defending the east flank. Namely, without taking full control of the Baltic Sea, Baltic States and Finland will run out of provisions in weeks.
Here we go again... Finland and the Baltics are "the East flank" when Russia and Germany want to go to war again. Excellent and fun battle fields for them, without a doubt. Far away from important regions and important people.
You can have a lot of midgets on a yacht, but where would you keep the donkey?
